4.Healing and Thriving in these strange times

Post Introduction

Hiya!

I thought I would do the thing I have been meaning to do for ages and not had time…. now I have plenty of time!!

This post is all about taking this virus as a time to heal, to connect with ourselves and everything that really matters. To look after ourselves, nourish ourselves with simple food, lovely words in our ears (from podcasts not teenagers!) and a gentle simple way of being.

We are connecting to more and more to our inner wisdom and higher guidance. The more we do it, the stronger that connection becomes. I am finding a deep familiarity in this new way of living, and I like it, a lot. I feel that the whole planet has been craving this on a deep soul level, and now we really can pause and heal. Of course, if you are really unwell, then that’s a different story. But if you are like most people, finding a new way of being….moving through boredom to simplicity, then things are pretty straight forward and this time is a really beautiful gift.

For most of us, this will be the first time that there has been such a massive global shift. So use’ this golden opportunity to rest, re-evalute and trust the process. So much is out of our control at the moment, but we do still have control over our mind, and we can still shape our days with positivity. Things are different right now, and in order to enjoy what we have we need to let go of what we nearly had…. those holidays, big clients, promotions, new house, new car. we must just relax and let go in order to go forward. This is a time of hibernation, which is against our in built clock, which is telling us that Spring is here!

So, what’s the best way to get the most out of this beautiful pause? Well, the best way is your best way. Find what works for you.

Firstly a deep healing STOP isn’t a bad idea! A time of refection. a bit of lying down, telly, sofa and general slowness is so good.

If you have a busy household you may find it a good idea to get up an hour earlier, so that you can have some time to yourself,

Setting goals, getting a plan and creating a timetable makes time more clear, and boundaried. We are far more efficient and effective when we allocate time slots for our tasks, rather than flitting from one thing to another, never really being present and not doing anything really well. So, if you want a lesson on how to be more productive, then this is your gem! Our brains naturally want to focus on one task at a time, so getting clear on how we spend our time is key!

As we cocoon ourselves away from the world, it is a really wonderful time to think about who we are, and where we want to be. If you live in a quiet household it may be the perfect time to have a deep dive into your shadow side and unravel your hang ups. Take these few months to enjoy a time away from pressures and get some clarity about what makes you really happy.
